ACHIEVEMENTS: DUPLEX DEMOLITION, COLLECT AND RECOVERY

Excavation Rive-Sud was commissioned to demolish an abandoned building. As with all demolition projects, we first took the necessary steps to ensure the safety of the worksite, and to offer our customer a smooth workflow and turnkey service.

We checked with the various service providers (water, gas, electricity, cable, etc.) to ensure that all entrances had been cut off, before proceeding with the first shovelful of earth. The worksite was secured with site fencing to ensure a safe environment throughout.

The first step of the project involved grounding the building in collaboration with Pro-Jet. The Excavation Rive-Sud team then sorted the debris so that it could be correctly evacuated of at authorized sorting centers. The final step was to demolish the foundations and remove the concrete.

In terms of equipment, two mechanical shovels were needed to complete the work and sort the materials: a 14-tonne shovel and a 4-tonne shovel.

The result: a customer completely satisfied with the efficiency and professionalism of the work! The site was left clean and free of debris and materials that could jeopardize the safety of residents.
